The Role

The Sales Development Representative’s (SDR) role is to engage potential customers with the purpose of sharing functions and capabilities of the Pocketstop System, explain how Pocketstop enables companies to send the right message to the right people at the right time, and direct leads to an account executive.

Expectations for the Sales Development Representative

  • Contact (via email and phone) the highest potential companies within Pocketstop’s target market sectors and develop relationships with decision makers – including cold calling and appointment setting.
  • Engage and develop relationships with C-level executives
  • Work as part of a strong Sales team using scripts and talking points that will be required for your success in market research and lead generation
  • Identify and qualify prospective customers to identify the firm’s needs for emergency notification and text messaging systems– and to identify the best leads for pursuit by the Sales team
  • Utilize best in class marketing tools, including HubSpot and Microsoft Dynamics, to manage leads, record the sales pursuit process, capture information, and communicate with the Sales team as leads are identified
  • Attend trade shows and conferences, whilst acting as an ambassador of Pocketstop and the software/services we provide
  • Make outbound calls from marketing lead and targeted account lists (40+ per day)
  • Discover new leads through Internet research and social media monitoring/commenting
  • Maintain consistent levels of activity to reach assigned goals
  • Willingness to do whatever job is needed and stay until completion
  • Organization and prioritization of goals

Ideal Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of cold calling/outbound telesales
  • SaaS or software sales experience preferred
  • Ability to speak and understand technology terms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Hubspot experience a plus
